Recently the boy had two different assessments with the school psychologist. So. Bad.
I realize there are certain activities she has to do with him to make a qualified assessment, but trying to get him to do those things make him really angry. Not being one to follow direction well or transition easily, it's pretty much a nightmare for me, and him too. Of course, it's good that she saw how rigid he can be and how he reacts to frustration, but even after the evaluation is over, he has a difficult rest of the day.

And then I'm reading CNN and see the story about the eight year old autistic girl in Coeur d'Alene who was taken away from her school in handcuffs in the back of a police car. This worries me; this could be the boy one day. And thanks to zero-tolerance, he'll be treated like a criminal when the truth is, he simply and honestly cannot control himself. Sad.
