Beach Day

A year and a half ago, we took the kids to the beach and it was an utter fail. The Boy was not at all able to handle anything about the beach: the noise, the sand, the sight of his little sister running directly into the water without an ounce of fear. Today we revisited the beach with some confidence that The Boy would be OK. I thought they would enjoy the creatures in the tide pools. The kids had different plans. Here's what happened:
We went to Natural Bridges, our favorite beach.
The Boy was doing great.
So great, in fact, that he demanded his clothes be taken off, at which point The Girl demanded the same. And this is what they did, for over an hour, despite a chilly temperature and moderate wind:
Needless to say, they had a great time being in nature. We're so proud of The Boy and how far he has come!
